FlushNut™ fittings for crowded fluidic assemblies
IDEX FlushNut™ Fittings are designed for those tight-space fluidic assemblies where nut heads often interfere with each other. When coupled with an appropriate ferrule and tightened into a receiving port, the slotted head of the FlushNut™ seats at or near flush with the top of the port. This feature allows FlushNut™ Fittings to reside in closer proximity to each other than any other option on the market. Thanks to their tiny format and high flexibility, the FlushNut™ Fittings are highly popular among instrument developers and manufacturers.
The FlushNut™ design feature is available with several of the IDEX fitting systems and their different ferrule constructions, including the LiteTouch®, SealTight™, Super Flangeless™, and Flangeless™ fitting systems. Ferrule options are thus available for both coned and flat-bottom port designs with 10-32 and 1/4-28 threads, and for tubing dimensions ranging from 1/32” up to 1/8” OD. This wide range of different options for the FlushNut™ Fittings, including which nut fits to what ferrules, are conveniently summarized in the table below.
All FlushNut™ Fittings are manufactured from 316 stainless steel, except the P-321 Plug, which is made of PEEK polymer. Tighten or remove FlushNut™ Fittings with the specially designed FlushNut™ Wrenches, available in 10-32 or 1/4-28 versions (F-345 and F-346, respectively).
