Metal-free Super Flangeless™ connections in flat-bottom ports

Did you know that the Super Flangeless™ fitting system also comprise ferrules that are manufactured completely from PEEK? These ferrules (P-260 & P-360) can thus guarantee an absolutely metal-free and biocompatible assembly into 1/4-28 & M6x1 flat-bottom ports.

The powerful Super Flangeless™ fitting system relies on a sealing ferrule plus a locking ring. This design ensures a leak-free and sturdy connection and prevents the tubing from twisting during assembly or loosening during vibrations. The lock ring is typically manufactured from stainless-steel and although it has no direct contact with the fluid path under normal operation, some system designs cannot contain metallic materials altogether. One solution to this dilemma is to use the all-PEEK Super Flangeless™ ferrules P-260 & P-360 which can accommodate tubing outer diameters of 1/16” & 1/8”, respectively. Note though that the pressure limits of the all-PEEK ferrules are somewhat lower compared to the corresponding ferrules equipped with lock rings in stainless-steel. These PEEK ferrules should only be used with fluoropolymer tubing since they might not grip stainless-steel and similar hard tubing materials sufficiently well to create a reliable seal.
