New durable and bioinert microbore UHPLC column hardware
Biotech Fluidics is introducing a new BioVersal™ column hardware for microbore UHPLC separations. This durable column hardware is designed to withstand several hundred sample injections without losing peak shape or sacrificing sample integrity even at high flow rates, high pressures, and high temperatures. These bioinert PEEK-lined stainless-steel columns provide a consistently smooth metal-free internal surface that is ideal for analytical UHPLC separations that use stationary phase particles sizes down to 2 µm or less.
These microbore UHPLC columns with 1.0 mm inner diameter are equipped with PEEK frits of 0.5 µm porosity, and are specified for continuous operation up to 25,000 psi (1,724 bar) at temperatures up to 80 °C. During column packing at room temperature, and in combination with their designated packing adapter, these columns can be exposed to pressures up to 40,000 psi (2,758 bar), thus offering an ideal set of characteristics for manufacturing top-of-the-line UHPLC columns with excellent separation performance and durability.
The product range covers the five most common column lengths for UHPLC, namely 30, 50, 75, 100, and 150 mm. For easy handling, each column is laser marked identifying its inside diameter, and lot number for traceability.
