Variety of secure high-pressure connections
The IDEX coned port fittings are designed to seal efficiently also at the high pressures used in HPLC, ion chromatography, and related precision fluidic systems. The different fittings are made from stainless steel or polymeric materials to fit popular coned port geometries plus some of the less frequently used, while accommodating several standard tubing outer diameters and an extensive range of capillary dimensions.
The extensive product range includes both the popular one-piece fingertight PEEK fittings as well as more traditional stainless-steel constructions with separate nut and ferrule that require tools for tightening, plus several additional designs optimised for different purposes. Some of these fittings were previously known under the brands of Upchurch or Rheodyne, but are now united within the IDEX product program.
For the most extreme pressures in UHPLC, the VHP high-performance fitting series provides suitable options, as do the powerful fingertight MarvelXACT™ torque-limiting fitting system which auto-adjust to ensure efficient sealing with zero dead volume independently of port depth. In micro- and nanofluidic assemblies, the MicroTight® and NanoTight™ fitting systems, with the aid of a wide range of tubing sleeves, provide several options for connecting fused silica capillaries with outer diameters from 70 µm.
