Luer adapters
Fast and easy low pressure connections
Luer connections provide a fast and easy way to join and quickly disconnect tubing in low pressure applications. These are conical fittings with a 6% taper and often employed in hypodermic syringes and medical apparatuses. The international standard ISO 594 provides specifications for conical Luer fittings.
Biotech Fluidics offers a range of different options to connect polymer tubing or capillaries to luer style ports and fittings, using either Quick Connect luer adapters, LuerTight™ fittings, or the Luer-to-MicroTight® connector. Learn more about these different connection variants below.

Quick Connect Luer adapters
The IDEX Quick Connect luer adapters offers a straightforward way to link threaded fittings with luer type fittings. This comprehensive range of adapters includes threaded flat-bottom port designs of 1/4-28 & M6x1, plus the coned 10-32 port, thus bridging connections into rest of the broad IDEX fitting program supplied by Biotech Fluidics. All the Quick Connect Luer Adapter conforms to ISO requirements for medical luer taper configuration and performance (45 psi/3.1 bar).

LuerTight™ adapters
The unique LuerTight™ fitting system provides luer connection abilities directly to fluoropolymer tubing of 1/16” or 1/8” outer diameter without barbs or threaded nuts. By integrating ferrules into the luer bodies, LuerTight™ fittings will reliably hold your tubing in place while giving you the quick and easy disconnection options of a luer connection. This economical fitting system, constructed from polypropylene (PP) with ferrules in ETFE, is a convenient option in low pressure applications up to 100 psi (7 bar).

Luer-to-MicroTight® adapter
Biotech Fluidics supply a convenient Luer-to-MicroTight® adapter that makes it easy to connect 360 µm OD tubing directly to a syringe. With its included MicroTight® Fittings, this fully biocompatible adapter introduces only 14 nL of additional volume to the flow path. It is therefore ideal for infusing sample into capillary-based systems and lab-on-a-chip devices.
