ASI Primeline™ syringe pumps
Unmatched precision for micro fluidic systems
The ASI Primeline™ syringe pumps provide unmatched precision and an extremely stable flow. This makes them ideal for applications in HPLC, UHPLC, LC/MS, and in instruments performing sampling, sample preparation, liquid metering and dispensing.
Primeline™ syringe pumps can be mounted in both vertical and horizontal position, and their compact and customizable design make them ideal for crowded laboratories and instrument integration. Their spring-loaded self-priming ASI nano check valve technology eliminates need for expensive rotary shear valves and thereby any risk of contaminants from worn rotor seals. An internal pressurized fill system speeds refill and prevents cavitation. Constructions are available with single syringe for isocratic operation and with dual syringe configuration for gradient applications. A seal wash option is available for pumping buffers and other solutions with dissolved components.
The ASI Primeline™ pumps are constructed with a stepper motor including drive and controller. The pressure limit is 20,000 psi (1380 bar) for Primeline™ 578 whereas the Primeline™ 576 can tolerate pressures up to 9,000 psi (620 bar). Material options including Ultem PEI (plyetherimide), PEEK (polyetheretherketone), Teflon PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) or 316 stainless-steel.
Function control is asserted via USB connection and a Windows based graphic user interface or through Modbus RTU using RS485 serial communication protocol and custom software. The pumps are manufactured by Analytical Scientific Instruments LLC and distributed by Biotech Fluidics in Europe and United States.
Independent evaluation data
Independent engineering evaluations have documented the superior flow precision of Primeline™ syringe pumps and confirm their unmatched position as exceptionally stable compared to competitor constructions, as highlighted in these figures and captions.

Recorded flow variability of 0.23% for Primeline™ 576 using water at 1.7 µL/min flow rate and 4 bar (58 psi).

Recorded flow variability of 0.43% for Primeline™ 576 using isopropanol at 1.4 µL/min and 620 bar (8990 psi).
